The government intends to continue the construction of roads, infrastructure objects and affordable housing, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told a session of the Cabinet Wednesday, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We have set a task to put into operation two thousand kilometers of new or reconstructed roads annually. Thanks to the best international standards, the traffic on such roads can be doubles during the next 20 years, and the warranty for the road surfacing is 10 years minimum," Azarov informed.

The Premier also reminded that this year 10 million sq m of housing have been put into service. "We intend to continue providing militaries, Chernobyl disaster victims and, of course, young families with housing," Azarov underlined.

The PM added that the state budget provides for 1.3 milliard hryvnias for financial support of housing construction in 2012.
