Tymoshenko not to be transferred to a penal colony yet

The question of transfer of Yulia Tymoshenko from the pre-trial detention facility to a prison is not under consideration yet, the state penitentiary service informed.

"The transfer of Tymoshenko from the detention facility is not on the table for the moment," official of the state penitentiary service Igor Andrushko said, but could answer the question where Yulia Tymoshenko would pass the New Year, having said "you never know what will happen tomorrow."

As reported, on October 11 Yulia Tymoshenko was convicted to seven years in prison for abuse of power by Pechersk District Court, and on December 23 the Kyiv Court of Appeals upheld the sentence.
