Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov believes that the government is carrying out right policy, but admits that "some things went not as expected."

"I believe our policy is correct. Of course, something went wrong, not like we expected, but in general the government has fulfilled the task," the Premier said at a session of the economic press-club, ForUm learned from the press office of the Cabinet.

According to Azarov, the government has achieved a lot this year, but there still is something to work on.

The PM informed that the Cabinet of Ministers under his leadership had to apply incredible efforts to overcome the crisis of 2008-2009. The changes are happening not as fast as we want to, but in accordance with possibilities of the state, he said.

"If we had pushed harder, we would have got an inverse effect, like price rise, inflation, etc. But if the pace of economy remains as we plan, the government will be able to make another breakthrough in 2012," Azarov noted.

The PM once again assured the crisis of 2009 will not repeat itself in the country.
