As a result of the agreements reached at the Ukraine-EU summit, technical validation of the draft Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in terms of establishment of a deep and comprehensive free trade area was completed in Brussels on December 22, Vice PM and Economy Minister of Ukraine Andriy Kliuyev said in an interview with journalists.
According to him, the corresponding protocol was signed by heads of delegations - Government's Commissioner for European Integration of Ukraine Valeriy Piatnytsky and Director of the Directorate General for Trade at the European Commission Rupert Schlegelmilch.
Andriy Klyuyev said that now the parties may proceed to the internal procedures necessary for initialing of the Agreement. "The work is in progress," the official summed up.
