State budget savings from abolition of MPs benefits will be millions of hryvnias, MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Olexander Yefremov told a briefing in the parliament on Thursday, ForUm learned from the press office of the Party of Regions.
"Yesterday, when approving the budget, as we promised, we voted for decision to abolish benefits for people's deputies. We did not count the ultimate amount of savings due to the benefits’ cancellation. I can only say that savings by one of the articles are more than 50 million, and by the other - more than 20 million," the MP said.
According to Olexander Yefremov, MPs deliberately decided to abolish the benefits.
Commenting on the work of parliament for the year, the MP stated that "practically all tasks set by the parliament were fulfilled."
"We've managed to work more or less constructively in the parliament," the politician summed up.
