Sanitary epidemic service has revealed four possible cases of measles disease in Kyiv. "On December 20 there were four possible cases of measles disease registered in an organization group in Kyiv," the report of the service says.
According to the data of epidemiologist, the total number of measles cases in Ukraine registered for December is 770: 503 cases in Lviv region, 208 cases in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 25 cases in Volyn region, 17 cases in Rivne region and 13 cases in Transcarpathian region.
State epidemic services of Western regions are holding the complex of measures to prevent the spread of the disease. In particular, local authorities have banned mass events, medical institutions are charged to hold examination of contact persons, unvaccinated individuals are banned from study, schools with cases of measles are temporary closed.
