Ukraine will first look at how the Eurasian economic community (EuroAsEC) works and then will consider its participation in the union, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said at the final press conference in response to the question whether Ukraine may join the community in exchange for cheap gas, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Our position remains unchanged: first we see the results of the work of this organization, and then if the economic results meet our national interests we will submit this issue for public discussion," President said.
As reported earlier, at the session of International council of the Eurasian economic community in Moscow Ukraine did not sign any documents, but continues to study the experience of integration unions within post-Soviet space.
