In 2012, Ukraine and the European Union will proceed to discussing the terms of visa-free travel, President Viktor Yanukovych said at his today’s press conference.
"We are completing the implementation of the legislative stage of the National Action Plan on visa liberalization with the EU. And in 2012, we will proceed to negotiations on establishing a clear timeframe for reaching the requirements for visa-free travel," said Viktor Yanukovych.
The President praised the completion of the Association Agreement negotiations with the EU at the December 19 Kyiv Summit. "Two days ago, with our European partners we have summarized the path of preparing a new legal framework of our relations, which we have completed – the question of association and comprehensive free trade area," Viktor Yanukovych said.
