The Kyiv Court of Appeals has begun today’s hearing of Yulia Tymoshenko’s appeal against her conviction in the “gas case". The ex-Premier herself is not present, but represented by Yuriy Sukhov, Oleksandr Plakhotnyuk, Eugenia Tymoshenko, Mykola Siryi and Serhiy Vlasenko. MPs of the BYuT-Batkivshchyna faction are also in the courtroom.

The proceedings are being recorded and aired in a hall designated for journalists.

Meanwhile, Tymoshenko's supporters are gathering together near the courthouse. People are waving flags of the Batkivshchyna Party. The protesters so far have not taken active steps to reach the territory of the court. The courthouse is surrounded by cordons of police.
