The European Union has no objections on Ukraine, except for those relating to the case of Ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, President Viktor Yanukovych told the press Thursday.

"From the European Commissioner [Stefan Fule - ed.] I have heard that there were no remarks on Ukraine, except for those concerning Tymoshenko," Yanukovych said.

According to UKRINFORM, the head of state noted that the Ukrainian government has created all the conditions within the law for Stefan Fule to visit the Lukyanivsky detention facility and meet Tymoshenko.

The president also added that he personally had not heard criticism from the European Commissioner as for what he had seen. "His view was, if I may say, positive," Yanukovych added.

At the same time, he recalled that the main focus during a meeting with Fule was paid to the EU-Ukraine summit on December 19 and the documents, which are expected to be signed.

"Our stand is very simple: a huge work was done to prepare the two documents [the association and free trade area agreements - ed.]," Yanukovych underscored.
