Kharkiv region is considering introduction of curfew for children under 14, press office of Interior Ministry department in Kharkiv region.

According to the head of children criminal department of Kharkiv Andriy Khomenko, similar practice has already been introduced in Lviv and Myklaiv regions. The local authorities of Kharkiv intend to limit children's stay in computer clubs maximum till 9 pm, and in public places till 10 pm. From 10 pm till 5 am children less than 14 years old will be allowed to stay out only accompanied by adults.

"This will help to protect children from crimes against them and to strengthen responsibility of parents. Our goal is to keep children safe from influence of criminal individuals, who can involve them into a crime," Khomenko said.

According to the Kharkiv police data, a number of crimes against children has increased this year.
