Sweeties will not rise in price before New Year holidays, expert on agrarian markets Taras Vysotski told ForUm in a comment.

"Confectionery consists up to 50% of sugar, and this year prices for sugar have been dropping. Hence there are no grounds for price rise for sweeties. Besides, confectionery production in Ukraine is developing, including for export," the expert said.

According to him, the major part of export goes to CIS countries and Mongolia, and sales peak falls for November-December.

As the second most popular product the expert named tangerine. The fruit is imported mainly from Spain, Georgia and Turkey. Vysotski informed that in December our country gets 90 thousand tons of tangerine, which is 60% of annual import. "Two third of the annual import of tangerines is sold out before New Year holidays," the expert pointed out.
