Foreigners have started buying up apartments in Kyiv, saying real estate is cheaper than in Russia or in Europe. In addition, many people hope to earn money during Euro-2012.
"If earlier the majority of foreigners working in Ukraine wanted to rent apartments and was ready to pay 3-4 thousand dollars a month, now they prefer to buy. People also hope that within the time the prices for apartments will increase and they will be able to sell it profitably," says Vladislav Mishuk, sales director of "Kansas" company.
According to experts, foreigners prefer apartments in newly build houses in the center of the city at a price from 150 thousand dollars to half a million.
"Among investors into real estate there are has mostly people from America, Israel, Poland and England," Mishuk says.
