Donetsk mayor dismissed official for buying limousine

Donetsk mayor Oleksandr Lukianchenko has dismissed the head of the city department on capital development Fedor Fedorenko, who bought a staff car costing more than 300 thousand hryvnias.

The mayor confirmed that Fedorenko authorized the purchase of Volkswagen Passat Limousine B7 Comfortline, costing 324 thousand hryvnias

"He bought it for himself, for the department on capital development," Lukianchenko told journalists in Donetsk.

"The law is equal for everyone. The Cabinet banned purchasing expensive cars. On November 30 I had to dismiss Fedor Fedorenko," the mayor said and added that the city council would decide what to do with the car. "For sure officials won't drive that car," Lukianchenko assured.
