Ukraine is interested in holding transparent and democratic elections in Moldova, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"It is very important for us that elections in Moldova are held transparently, democratically and that, finally, political situation in Moldova stabilizes," he said.
Dykusarov underlined that Ukraine stands for continuation of negotiations on settlement of a conflict between Chisinau and Tiraspol in the format 5+2.
Foreign Ministry spokesman also pointed out that Moldaova is a very important partner for Ukraine. "There are many disputable issues, requiring immediate settlement. For this we need a certain political stability in Moldova," Dykusarov.
