The head of the parliament Volodymyr Lytyvn does not see a possibility to adopt the law on land market till the end of the year.
Lytvyn also underlined that the next year the agricultural land will be not on sale regardless the adoption or non-adoption of the law.
"It is recommended to introduce the law on land market into force from January 1, 2013. So, we will have a year to find out whether the law corresponds with the real life. There is also a certain contradiction regarding the moratorium on land market. According to the Land Code, the moratorium remains till the adoption of law on land market. Obviously, we will have to adopt a resolution which bans the operation of the land market if the new law passes its first reading," Lytvyn told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
