The Party of Regions stands for cancellation of deputies' privileges, the PR faction leader Oleksandr Yefremov said at a meeting of coordination board of the parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We should stop speculations on deputies' privileges. Our proposition is to meet together and agree on paragraphs on privileges which must be crossed out from the state budget," he noted.
Yefremov also proposed to introduce such notion as "provision means for deputies' activities." "As for privileged regime, it must be cancelled, and the very notion 'privileges' must be removed.
As reported earlier, PR deputy Volodymyr Zubanov declared that privileges for MPs must be partially cancelled, and the Party of Regions is ready to support corresponding changes to the legislation.
