Guests of Kyiv will be offered a variety of sightseeing tours inside and outside the city during the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.
The press service of Kyiv City State Administration reported this on Thursday, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the department of tourism, some 134 thematic tours around Kyiv and its suburbs have been developed so far. Guests of the capital city will have an opportunity take 74 walking tours (55 of them include visiting museums), 54 bus routes and six boat routes. The subjects of tours are being constantly expanded and improved.
The Mobi Terra project, involving audio guides provided via a mobile phone, have been launched, the department reported. A total of 50 such tours are offered in seven languages.
Under the state target program of preparation and holding of the Euro 2012 finals, thirteen sightseeing tours are provided for representatives of UEFA, guests and fans. These proposals were agreed with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine and UEFA. The list of these tours includes a one-day trip to Chornobyl zone.
