In developing its relations with other states Ukraine would always follow the principle of national pragmatism, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting with President of Israel Shimon Peres.
"We will be developing our relations with other countries only in a pragmatic, practical plane. We will not be making friendships ‘against anyone’," said Viktor Yanukovych.
Now, the President said, our country is actively pursuing the course of European integration. Ukraine, he said, is the bridge between Russia and Europe. Viktor Yanukovych also stressed that our country will remain a reliable party to the transit of energy resources.
