Minister for regional development and construction Anatoly Blyzniuk proposes to introduce a tax for development of shelters for stray animals.
"We speak a lot about the problem of stray animals. Well, let's do something about it. The society should not expect for someone from above to come and solve the problem. Let's introduce a tax, at the expense of which we will build shelters," the Minister said.
According to Blyzniuk it is needed to determine the sufficient number of shelters, where animals will undergo sterilization, and then to divide the sum of money necessary for construction among all citizens of Ukraine.
"We have to calculate how many shelters for dogs and cats we need. There is no relevant tax in the country, so this problem must be analyzed and solved," the Minister added.
