November 28 officials of the Security Service of Ukraine detained two workers of a consulting company in Kyiv, who tried to sell illegally the confidential data bases of the state departments, including the State register of voters, ForUm learned from the press office of the SBU.
The offenders expected to receive 550 thousand hryvnias for the CDs with information.
It has been established that the offenders received data through their personal ties in Kyiv institutions and organizations.
During the search in the office of the consulting company SBU officials withdrew a server, used for keeping and copying various state data bases, including the data bases of the traffic police department, health department, statistics service, tax state administration, some banks and others, as well as CDs with confidential information.
The recollected evidences are under investigation, as the result of which the police department may institute a criminal case on unauthorized sale or distribution of limited access information.
