Vice PM, Minister for social policy Serhiy Tigipko claims he did not know about corrupt practice of the chairman of the State employment service of Ukraine Volodymyr Halytski.

"We have such legislation that it is difficult for the state to interfere in the activity of the funds," Tigipko said at a meeting of the Federation of employers of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The funds are managed by employers, trade unions and the state. And the state's share of control is not the principal one. This system must be changed. The next week the government will submit a draft bill, which enables the state to control the expenses of the funds' means," the official explained.

According to Tigipko nobody was aware of Halytski's corrupt schemes. "If we had known concrete facts, we would have reacted somehow," he said.
