For the moment Ukraine is not ready to ratify the regulations of the International criminal court, Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych told a roundtable dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Nuremberg Trials.
According to Lavrynovych, the ratification contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.
The Minister added that Ukraine will sign the document, but did not specify when and how the Ministry will remove contradictions between the Constitution of Ukraine and regulations of the International criminal court.
In his speech Lavrynovych also welcomed the existence of supernational institutions, which defend human's rights.
Earlier, EU representative in Ukraine Jose Manuel Pintu Teisheira stated that within the negotiations of Association agreement the EU requires ratification of this document by Ukraine. Official Kyiv promised to solve the problem by introducing changes to the Constitution.
