Representatives of the Chernobyl public organizations will be included into expert commissions, engaged into granting the status of Chernobyl disaster liquidator, vice PM Serhiy Tihipko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Tihipko, the government has responded to demands of Chernobyl public organizations and included their representatives into the composition of expert commissions.
The official also said that the last verification of liquidator's status was held in 1998. "I believe that those people, who got the status of Chernobyl disaster liquidator after 1998, must undergo investigation to prove they got this status legally. We have already developed the checking procedure with the Chernobyl Union of Ukraine," he said.
According to Tihipko, Chernobyl disaster liquidators themselves are interested in not having fake liquidators among them.
