Ukraine and Lithuania have significant potential to cooperate in agriculture, President Viktor Yanukovych said after the fifth meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania.
"Among the promising directions of cooperation are increasing the supplies of Ukrainian grain, broadening the cooperation on crop selection and breeding, the fishing industry," he said, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
Another promising area of cooperation President called the energy sector.
Speaking about Ukrainian-Lithuanian humanitarian cooperation, Viktor Yanukovych said: " We have a shared vision of the need to promote cooperation at the level of education and research institutions of both countries. We also aim to comprehensively develop bilateral cultural exchanges."
