Foreign Ministry of Ukraine states that the European community welcomed the adoption of the new law on parliamentary elections in Ukraine, spokesman of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Oleksandr Dykusarov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The fact that 80% of MPs supported the law proves the readiness of political forces to hold dialogue and reach a compromise. International community has praise this. In particular, Sweden FM noted that the majority had finally agreed on the new law," he said.
Dykusarov noted that Ukraine appreciates the help of the Venice Commission and OSCE department on human rights for their consultations during the development of the law.
