Leading countries sees Ukraine as world supplier of food products, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said in an interview with "Government's courier".
"Ukraine is a big industrial-agricultural country. Even though the agrarian sector takes only 16% of export and 7.2% of GDP, the world community believes Ukraine can become one of the leading agrarian countries of the world," the Premier noted.
According to him, if to calculate the potential of the sector, the economy of Ukraine can increase its capacity and get to world markets with improved level of quality.
"Mission of Ukrainian village is not only national, but has become the world one. The government is ready to support economically advantageous initiatives of world organizations on formation of food reserves, as well to participate in joint projects on food provision for countries, which don't have enough products for population," he underlined.
