A new stage of Ukraine’s promo campaign for Euro began earlier this week and will last until the end of 2011. Within the framework of the new promo, over 2.5 billion people in the whole world will learn about Ukraine as a co-organizer of the European Championship, ForUm learned frm the press office of the Euro-2012 information center.

This is precisely the size of the TV viewer audience of CNN and BBC World News TV channels and the FOX group of channels, where video clips dedicated to conducting Euro-2012 will be released. Their goal is popularization of the country and encouraging tourists to visit Ukraine next year. It was in November that international TV channels launched information and explanatory campaign on preparations for and conducting the final part of the 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine.

The campaign will go on in November and December. Meanwhile, the major share of the video material will be broadcast in early December when the draw is due to be held. The channels will broadcast so-called “Ukrainian weeks” with topical spots on preparations for Euro-2012. The campaign will be carried out by six international channels: CNN, BBC World News, National Geographic channel (Nat Geo Wild), FOX, Sky Sports and Sky News. Their total potential audience is over 2.544 billion people, and they cover Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North and South America, along with the Middle East. The majority of video clips are 30 seconds long. On the one hand, this will enable them to contain the main messages and, on the other hand, viewers will not be overloaded with information, and their attention will be held on during the whole video broadcast. It is also planned to show clips which are 5, 10 and 60 seconds long.

Short video insets are due to remind viewers about Ukraine by trying to be fixed in their memory with slogans, while the minute-long ones will provide more information to those who need it. All the video clips will be placed within short time interval before sports, tourist or information programmes in order to try to captivate not only viewers but also potential tourists.
