Health Ministry of Ukraine has formed a monitoring group for analysis of prices for medicine, Minister Oleksandr Onishchenko told a briefing.
According to him, the formed structure will trace prices for medicine on the pharmaceutical market in Ukraine, in neighboring countries and in countries-producers. "We need to know the prices there to be able to compare with prices here. So we will be authorized to ask why they sell medicine in Ukraine way more expansive. Every importer of medicine should present and prove the formula of price making in order to avoid intermediary schemes," the Minister noted.
According to Onishchenko, the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine has "66.7% of domestic medicine, but in money terms it makes only 27%, while the number of imported medicine is 33%, but in money terms it is 70%."
