On Wednesday, November 16, Kyiv's Kyoto Park will host a ceremony to plant cherry trees that were presented to the city by Japan Tobacco International Ukraine.
"Kyoto Park is not only a great place to relax, but also a kind of a part of Japan in Ukraine's capital. Is it possible to imagine Japan without its cherry tree? That's why, our company supported a project by Kyiv City State Administration to create the world's longest alley of Japanese cherry trees and presented 240 more trees to the capital," the administration's press service quoted Director General of Japan Tobacco International Ukraine Antoine Ernst as saying, according to UKRINFORM.
