In 2013 Ukraine will file an application on holding Olympics-2022, president of the national Olympic committee Serhiy Bubka told journalists.

"Now we are cooperating with experts to work out this concept of Olympic Games at the high level. Further we plan to meet the President of Ukraine to report on the matter and to determine further steps for the next two years," Bubka said.

According to him, it is difficult to say now which countries will compete with Ukraine for the right to hold Olympics-2022. Bubka noted that according to his data the applications may be filed by Canada and Switzerland, as well as Germany (Munich), which failed to obtain the right to hold Olympics-2018.

"Canada wanted, but they have problems with pistes. Switzerland also wants, but we are not sure it will apply," he added.

As reported earlier, President Viktor Yanukovych declared an intention to hold Olympics-2022 in Ukraine. According to official calculations, the event will cost the state several tens of milliards of dollars.
