The reconstruction of Terminal 'B' at Kyiv Boryspil International Airport is completed, the Ministry of Infrastructure said in a statement Monday, according to UKRINFORM.

Now, the waiting area, which previously totaled 2,790 square meters, is expanded up to 5,670 square meters (4,590 sq. m. - for passengers on international flights, 1,080 sq. m. - for internal flights).

The interior is improved in the refreshed pathway, the waiting area has become more comfortable and spacious, the amount of waiting areas is increased, new canteens appeared. The infrastructure of the pathway meets all the requirements of servicing people with disabilities.

As reported, September 1 the airport's Terminal 'B' opened the reception area, areas arrival and departure of passengers for domestic flights, which improved the quality of service for passengers who travel along Ukraine.

The current capacity of Terminal 'B' is 2,400 passenger/hour.

The launch of Terminal 'D', which will be a major facility of the main air gates of Ukraine, is scheduled for December 2011. The new terminal will be able to take 12 million passengers a year, twice as much the current passenger traffic at the airport.

According to the Boryspil airport's press office, in January-September passenger traffic increased by 20.4% to 6.148 million people, compared with same period last year, including in September - by 17.1% to 857,000.
