Chairman of the Zaporizhzhya city council Oleksandr Syn charged the legal department of the council with holding an expertise on legality of new monument to Stalin, erected near the Communist party regional committee.
"Till the end of the week the legal department will give its conclusions on legality of installation and on the fact whether this sculpture can be considered a monument at all," Syn said, according to Ukrainian news.
At the same time Syn noted that previous monument to Stalin in Zaporizhzhya was recognized by the legal department of the council as illegal, but due to its destruction and restoration a new expertise will be called.
