New Customs Code reduces the number of cases of confiscation of vehicles, transporting contraband goods, head of Kyiv regional customs house Volodymyr Grygoriev told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the current Customs Code, every vehicle transporting contraband goods is subjected to confiscation. "The new Customs Code provides for that a vehicle will be confiscated only in case of transporting drugs, weapons and explosives, hidden within the vehicle," Grygoriev explained.
As a reminder, November 3 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine.
