MP of the BYuT faction Volodymyr Yavorivsky is strongly against the adoption of the draft bill "On protection of public morality," as he said during parliamentary hearings on 'The state of public morality in Ukraine,' ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, such law will result in censorship. "The same reason why we don't need the national expert commission on morality protection issues. This draft bill should not be put for consideration, and the national commission should not start its work because all this will draw Ukraine back," the MP said.

According to ForUm correspondent, the hearings are attended by Minister for culture and tourism Mykhailo Kuliniak, representatives of clergy and public organizations.

As a reminder, October 8 the parliament passed the draft bill on amendments to the law "On protection of morality" in its first reading.
