International airport 'Lviv' has been named after the founder of the city, King Danylo Halytsky. The corresponding decision has been made today at the session of the Cabinet upon the recommendation of vice PM, Minister for infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov.

According to the vice PM's belief, the proposition to name the airport after the king-founder was a success, ForUm learned in the press office of the Ministry.

"I believe it is right on. It follows the world practice of naming airports," Kolesnikov noted. 

In addition, the vice PM expressed an assurance that such name is "unifying".
