President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych charged newly appointed Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko with paying greater attention to fighting economic crimes.

Instating the new Interior Minister the President reminded that Zakharchenko has gained considerable experience working at the Interior Ministry and then at the State Tax Service and that this experience will enable the Ministry to pay more attention to the economic crimes.

"You know that economic criminals defend themselves in a different way, using financial resources and often avoiding responsibility. As a rule, they do not always return the stolen funds to the state and our common objective is to make sure that every criminal who robs the state always return this money with larger penalties," he emphasized.

Yanukovych also expects that new Minister will continue and improve the practice of former Minister Mohyliov. "There's no limit to perfection, and there is enough work for everyone," the President underlined.
