EDAPS Consortium cooperated with the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine to produce the first ever INTERPOL medal which includes a high resolution hologram.
The medals were presented to Chiefs of Police and heads of delegation attending the 80th INTERPOL General Assembly in Hanoi, Vietnam (October 31 - November 3).
Created in Proof quality, a special, high-quality minting process, on one side of the medal is a pristine mirror-like fields and frosted relief of the INTERPOL logo with the reverse side featuring a holographic INTERPOL logo. The hologram is produced by the Specialized Enterprise HOLOGRAPHY, the EDAPS member.
The creation of holographic images for coins and medals is considered one of the most sophisticated in the world, only possessed by a handful of companies. This technology is used by the experts at HOLOGRAPHY and since 2001 NBU has issued silver coins with holograms made by the Ukrainian mint to mark a variety of events and anniversaries.
