Vice PM and Minister for economy Andriy Kliuyev declares Ukraine may withdraw its consent issued in 2008 on Russia's membership in the World Trade Organization in order to use this withdrawal as an argument in gas talks with Russia, ForUm correspondent reports.
"As for WTO, in 2008 PM Yulia Tymoshenko signed a letter of consent on Russia's membership in WTO. We are studying this question and we may use it as leverage in the gas talks with Russia," he said during the Hour of questions to the government.
As reported, Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev declared Russia expects to successfully finish the talks on WTO membership by the yearend.
