Russia will spare no efforts to make the rights of millions of Russian speaking citizens in Ukraine be observed, representative of Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksandr Lukashevych told a press conference in Moscow, according to UNIAN.

He underlined that humanitarian problems, including the language and culture, are among the important issues of the Russian-Ukrainian political dialogue.

"In connection with recognized international norms we well spare no effort to make the rights of Russians and Russian speaking citizens of Ukraine be observed in full measure," Lukashevych said.

He also assured that the Russian side is ready to settle questions on humanitarian and cultural needs of Ukrainians, living in Russia.

"Balance and harmony of humanitarian relations with full observance of our citizens' rights is a recipe for successful development of Russian-Ukrainian ties," Lukashevych said.
