BYuT and our Ukraine factions are ready to make a compromise on parliamentary elections legislation, BYuT faction leader Ivan Kyrylenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

He explained that the opposition basically stands against any changes to election legislation on the eve of the very elections, but is ready to make a compromise - to develop a single document, but only if equal number of representatives from the majority and opposition take part in the process.

"If the authorities want a new law, this law must be worked out together with the opposition. We propose to vote for formation of a special commission, consist of opposition and majority and charged with the development of the document. In two-three weeks the commission must submit a single document on parliamentary elections," Kyrylenko said.

The opposition member also noted that if the majorities ignores this idea and starts consideration of the draft bill submitted by the Justice Ministry, the opposition will not take part in the consideration and will leave the parliament.
