In the process of adoption of the new election legislation the parliamentary majority is ready to comprise with the opposition, PR faction leader Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing in the parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.

"In the second half of today's session we start consideration of draft bills on parliamentary elections. You know there are six of them. We believe this consideration is a step towards transparent elections and we are ready to compromise with the opposition," he said.

According to Yefremov the majority is ready to postpone the consideration and to send the document for further development. "We can form a commission of factions' representatives, including the opposition," Yefremov underlined.

The PR faction leader also proposes to consider the recommendations of the Venice Commission. Yefremov pointed out once again that according to public polls Ukrainians want to vote directly for a candidate, not party lists. "We cannot ignore it and we will recommend the commission to take in into account," the MP summed up.
