Viktor Yanukovych has opened an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine held with the participation of members of the Committee on Economic Reforms.
Opening the meeting, the President said that modernization of the country also implies its protection from the impact of the global economic crisis. "It also means that we are not only defending ourselves – we are stepping on the path of sustainable economic development of our country, which includes improving people's lives. This is the main target," Viktor Yanukovych said. The President drew attention to the current positive trends in the national economy and stressed that the purpose of the government is to keep up this dynamics in 2012.
The meeting participants are to analyze the state of performance of the 2011 National Action Plan to implement the Program of Economic Reforms for 2010-2014 "Wealthy society, competitive economy, effective state." The document was approved by the Presidential Decree of April 27, 2011.
