Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov declared that the parliament does not have intention to cancel social benefits for Afghan soldiers and Chernobyl disaster liquidators, ForUm learned in the party press office.

"I can hardly understand what demands were set today by the protesters, because all questions were discussed last week. Moreover, last week the working group agreed with the leaders of these organizations upon all problem issues," the politician informed.

Yefremov specified that the draft bill on social benefits had not been submitted for consideration yet. "That's why setting up the demands, which were agreed upon long ago, does not make any sense," the MP noted.

He once again underlined that the draft budget for 2012 and the draft bill on social benefits provide for social payments not lower than this year. "There will be no cancellations," the politician stressed.
