As of 9.30 a.m. about 300 representatives of Chernobyl organizations gathered near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine protesting about the draft bill on social benefits.

The protesters surrounded the fence around the parliament trying to get in, ForUm correspondent reports.

As of 10.20 a.m. the number of protesters increased up to 1.5 - 2 thousand people and they keep coming. At some point Chernobyl disaster liquidators brought down the fence and the crowd broke through on the parliament's square.

Law enforcement officials tried but failed to keep the people outside the broken fence and had to make 'a living wall' near the entrance to the parliament in order to prevent the protesters coming inside.

All entries and exits were sealed. The number of law enforcement forces is also increasing.
