The customs service has instituted a criminal case on avoiding customs control during border cross of medicine of Belarus production. The customs service officials established the fact of illegal price increase for imported medicine, ForUm learned from the press office of the State Customs Service.
According to the document, submitted at the border, 6.9 tons of medicine costing 1.5 million USD is imported from Lithuania to Ukraine. The customs officials paid attention to the illogical route of the load and high price of medicine.
Ukrainian customs officials contacted the Belarus customs service, and further investigation revealed the fact of artificial price increase threefold: from 582 thousand USD to 1.5 million USD.
