The opposition plans to withdraw its draft bills on parliamentary elections, BYuT faction leader Ivan Kyrylenko told a conciliatory council, ForUm correspondent reports.

He also called upon the parliamentary majority to do the same. "We should form a special group of representatives of both opposition and majority in order to work out a document, acceptable for both sides. If the majority does not withdraw its draft bills the opposition will not take part in the consideration and voting of its draft bill," Kyrylenko stated.

Kyrylenko also noted that if parliamentary elections were carried out in accordance with the current legislation the composition of the future parliament would change '180 degrees', but if it was held under the draft bill submitted by the majority, 'there would be no opposition in the parliament at all.'
