Ukraine needs to speed up 'holy crusade' on returning of kindergartens, Education Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk told the III Al-Ukrainian meeting of education workers.
"We've managed to restore several hundreds of kindergartens, but to avoid lines Ukraine still needs at least another 700 kindergartens. If we follow the same pace, it will take about four years," he noted.
Tabachnyk reminded that Prime Minister Mykola Azarov ordered at the special meeting of the government to restore necessary number of kindergartens in two years, not more.
"The government is not satisfied with the current pace and regional governors know this," the Minister said.
