Ukraine has abandoned the plans to challenge 2009 gas agreements with Russia in international courts, Energy Minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko declared.
"We intend to change the contract only through negotiations," Kommersant-Ukraine cited the minister as saying. Boiko explained the decision by "strategic character of relations with Russia."
According to press secretary of Ukraine's PM Vitaliy Lukianenko, "the negotiations are more constructive now and are close to an end."
"We won't comment on possible agreements in order not to do harm," he added.
