Diversifying bilateral trade between Ukraine and Brazil is the interest of businesses in both countries, President Viktor Yanukovych said during his meeting with Brazilian businessmen, ForUm learned in the presidential press office.
According to the President, first of all it about high-tech manufacturing - chemicals and metallurgy, aviation and shipbuilding, machinery and equipment, energy and so on. "In the matters of technological cooperation Ukrainian enterprises are more flexible than the European and North American companies. In this connection, there are significant prospects for our countries to launch joint projects in Brazil on the basis of Ukrainian technologies and Brazilian investments," Viktor Yanukovych said.
A good example of such cooperation he called strategic bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Brazil in the framework of Alcantara Cyclone Space project that "has entered its practical implementation stage."
The President also named promising the investment into infrastructure projects in preparation for Euro 2012, agriculture, processing industry, housing, telecommunications. "These sectors are also open to investors from Brazil," he said.
"Ukraine is open to dialogue with the Brazilian business at all levels - from SMEs to large corporations ... I invite you to visit Ukraine in order to establish partnership relations with Ukrainian companies, discuss opportunities and finding ways to further develop mutually beneficial business cooperation," the President said.
